Welcometothe2ndAsiaPacificRimInternationalCounsellingConference2011webpage.Ourtheme“IndigenizationandMulticulturalism”ismostrelevanttotheongoingdiscoveryanddevelopmentofalternativeparadigmsofcounsellingthatbringtogetherbothEastandWest,advancingthecooperationbetweenneighboursintheAsiaPacificregion.
Wewillbedelightedtowelcomebothresearchbasedpapersandskill-basedworkshopswhichexpressthemulticulturaldiversityandongoingindigenizationprocessthatistakingplace.SeetheCallforPaperspagefordetailsofsubmission.
TheConferencewillbejointlyhostedbytheAsiaPacificRimConfederationofCounsellors,theAsianProfessionalCounsellingAssociationandtheAustralianCounsellingAssociation.WiththeHongKongTourismBoardwearedelightedtowelcomeyoubacktoHongKongforanenrichmentexperiencewithcounsellingcolleaguesfromacrosstheglobe.

Internationalpresentersareencouragedtosubmit.Allinternationalpresenterswillbeofferedfreeregistrationtotheconferencewith3nightsfreeaccommodationinHongKongShueYanUniversity.Theywillalsobeprovidedwithbreakfastandlunchcouponsforthedurationofconference.
ToreceivefullconsiderationabstractsofyourproposedpapermustbesubmittedbeforeJuly31st,2010.PleasenoteontheabstractwhetheryourproposalisforPaperorWorkshop.AllabstractsmustbeinEnglish.Posterpresentationswillalsobeaccepted.
Papersthataddresstheoretical,practical,andresearchaspectsofcounsellingfromculturalperspectivesareparticularlywelcome.Othercounsellingtopicswillalsobeconsidered.Theprogramwillconsistofindividualpapers,workshopsandakeynoteaddress.Thepapersshouldbescholarlyandwritteninastylethatisaccessibleforresearchers,professional,clientsandself-helpreaders.
